The Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA) assists women and men in starting and growing their businesses by serving as a focal point for information and access to resources, facilitating personal development, and providing a formal mentoring process. Named the 2007 Non-Profit of the Year by the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce, the WBCNA provides access to financing, networking opportunities, and business training. Thousands of women and men have been assisted through counseling, training, workshops, and loan assistance, and these clients are creating jobs in North Alabama.
To further expand its services, WBCNA launched a fundraiser to ask local businesses and individuals to make contributions to use as cash match for Federal grants. The “Society of 75” asked 75 businesses and/or individuals to invest $1,000 per year for five years. This past August, LogiCore became a member of the “Society of 75.”
“We are very pleased to have LogiCore as a member of the Society of 75,” said Joanne Randolph, President of WBCNA. “As a small 8(a) company since 2002, LogiCore brings a lot of experience to the table and can provide great insight and networking opportunities to our clients. The involvement of local companies like LogiCore is pivotal to the WBCNA being able to fulfill its mission, which is to help local businesses form and grow.”
